Empowering Communities Through Workforce Development
At Guideship, we believe that ZIP codes shouldn’t determine career trajectories. Over the past 3 years, our workforce development initiatives have invested more than $700,000 into designing, maturing, and scaling a nationally recognized Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program.
Today, this program stands as one of Maryland’s premier cybersecurity apprenticeship models, creating direct career pathways for individuals from underserved communities. But to scale this impact and meet the rising demand for diverse tech talent, we need forward-thinking corporate and community allies.

Corporate & Employer Partnerships
Guideship helps employers build a diverse pipeline of highly trained cybersecurity professionals while creating life-changing career opportunities for underserved communities. Through internships, registered apprenticeships, and customized workforce development programs, we deliver job-ready talent prepared to contribute from day one.
Host Internships & Registered Apprenticeships
Integrate our job-ready participants into your security operations. Our apprentices undergo intensive workforce readiness and technical training, allowing them to deliver immediate value to your organization under an “earn-while-you-learn” model.

Workforce Readiness - Be a Volunteer
Conduct mock interviews, resume reviews, or host technical workshops. If you lack the time for long-term mentoring but want to give back, our workforce readiness labs need you. Industry professionals can facilitate technical deep-dives, audit student labs, or critique portfolios to prepare candidates for competitive roles. Encourage your team to volunteer with us, gaining valuable experience and making a difference in the community.
Monetary & Sponsorships
Fund industry certifications, tech stipends, and learning infrastructure. Invest in our programs and receive recognition as a key supporter of workforce development.
Capital investments keep our programs entirely tuition-free for our students. Financial support directly funds:
-
Industry-recognized certification vouchers (e.g., CompTIA, Security+, Network+, CySA+, Linux+, PenTest+).
-
Hardware & Lab Infrastructure to ensure students train on enterprise-grade security simulation platforms.
-
Wrap-around stipends to cover transportation or childcare, removing the economic barriers that often force students to drop out of technical training.
1:1 Professional Guidance - Be a Mentor
Guide an underserved scholar through their technical training and first career steps. Our students possess immense aptitude, but navigating corporate tech spaces can be daunting without a compass. As a mentor, you will provide 1:1 professional coaching, help students build confidence, and demystify the tech industry.
Commitment: 2–4 hours a month.
